How to Gameshare on PS4?

Still, using your PlayStation 4 while you wait for the PlayStation 5 to arrive? Thanks to a function called Share Play, you may play games together or share your game collection with friends and family who are still using their PS4. (If you have a PS5 buddy, you can also use Share Play to play their PS5 games on your PS4.

Here are two methods for sharing digital copies of a PS4 game with another PS4 player via Share Play. It's worth noting that both users must have a PlayStation Plus subscription to use the Share Play function.

Do You want to Play a Game with Your Friends or Family?

Sony allows you to share your games with another PlayStation 4 user, allowing you to play the same game with a buddy even if only one of you owns the game. Both game sharing and Share Play are supported on the PS4, however, they are two separate capabilities.

By adjusting the settings on a friend's PS4, that PS4 can access all of your games via game sharing. Share Play, on the other hand, allows you to invite a player from another PS4 to a local multiplayer game, even if it doesn't support internet play.

Before you Share a PS4 Game, here's what you Should know.

Game sharing is a fantastic function that works similarly to sharing a book or disc. Only one person needed to possess it in order for the other person to "borrow" it on a separate PS4.

However, there are a Few Limitations.

  1. Make sure you're subscribed to Playstation Plus. Both you and the other player will need their own PlayStation Plus memberships in order to game share.
  2. Only one other person can play the game at a time. If you try to game share with a third party, you risk having your account disabled, which will put a stop to your gaming time.
  3. Take wary of who you share your game with. Only share your personal account details on another PS4 with individuals you trust.

This should allow your friend or family member to download and play games from your PS4 games collection on their PS4 system – but they need probably to connect to their own PlayStation account first. You may play your PS4 games catalog on your own console at the same time if you adopt this strategy. It's worth mentioning, though, that only one other individual may use this method to access your PS4 game collection.

If you try to add more, your account may be suspended. We also recommend only sharing your PS4 game library with people you trust, as you will most likely need to repeat the process on your own console to reclaim control of your PS4 games collection, or if you change or upgrade your PS4.
