Hello, Please let me know that how to upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 8.1. I facing problem in this. Help me.
Microsoft release updated version of window by the time. Window 7 was the earlier version of operating system thereafter Microsoft release upgraded version for window 7 which is window 8. Microsoft included some advance features in window 8. If you are currently running Windows 7 version and you want to upgrade your window from window 7 to window 8.
You have to run Microsoft upgrade assistant utility. One thing you need to know before upgrading your window, you have to reinstall all the file and software application. Upgrade windows 7 to Windows 8.1 process is relatively easy, but you have to be careful during the whole process.
You need to take a backup of your files and folders. Either you can create a local backup of your files or folder or you can take backup in external media because you need to reinstall your desktop program.
You also have to make sure that you have a license key to purchase software. If you have any update for Windows 7, you need to run those updates manually to make sure everything is good to go.
On the hardware side, your computer has at least a 1 GHz processor and 2GB RAM and minimum 20 GB hard disk space is required to run Windows 8.1 operating system. An internet connection is also required to upgrade windows 7 to Windows 8.1
Microsoft allows you to purchase download and install window 8.1 over internet or you can purchase a physical copy for window 8.1 if you are unable to download window 8.1 version from internet due to slow internet connection.
You need to download upgrade assistant and run. It is a free utility from Microsoft which will scan your computer hardware, software and any other peripheral device (You have to make sure your are plugged in) and it will let you know that latest window is compatible or not with your hardware.
After finding compatibility of system with new OS, you need to follow on screen instructions to upgrade windows 7 to Windows 8.1. it will allow you to choose option to purchase compatible version which you need to download and install.
After that you will be asked for payment. After successful payment, Microsoft will provide license key or product key. You have to keep this window 8.1 copy at a safe place for future use. During upgrade assistant step of installation, you will have to enter the product key.
Then window 8.1 will start to download. After download you will get prompt message on your computer screen which allows you to create a physical media. I advised you to do this with physical copy.
You need to go with screen instructions wizard after agreeing the license agreement. The process is same as it is when you upgrade your windows 8 to Windows 8.1. your computer will restart tow or three times during the installation process complete.
Now your computer is upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1, now you need to run window update process again. If there are new updates available for your new windows 8.1, you need to install those update to work your windows 8.1 in smooth manner. Now you need to install a desktop program which you are required. This is the good time to take inventory and quit off the program.

A: Time will depends on many factors like age of your device, how it is configured etc. Most of the devices will take about one hour to upgrade windows as soon as download is complete. Older devices can take long time to upgrade windows.

A: Device with 32 GB space or older devices might need additional space to complete the upgrade process. If you do not have sufficient storage space, try removing files or apps which have no longer use or you can run disk cleanup utility to free up your space.
