Hello, Please let me know that how to factory reset Windows 10 or use system restore. I am facing some issue in factory reset of window 10. Help me in this problem that how to do that.

So, how to Factory reset Windows 10 or use System Restore. You have some virus or malware in your system, or the Windows operating system has become extremely slow that it has become unusable. If you look at Windows, you realize that Windows has some issue, due to which the users have to do a system restore or do a factory reset of Windows 10.

These can be the reasons for doing a factory reset or sometimes Windows does not work correctly or there is some driver issue or any other software issues. In that case, doing a Windows 10 System Restore is a great option.

How to Factory Reset Windows 10 or Use System Restore:

Microsoft first came up with an operating system in the year of 1985. Today, Microsoft comes with many versions of Windows and the latest one is Windows 10. But, before Windows 10 there was Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and older version of Windows.

Windows 10 Hidden Recovery Partition-

Basically, these partitions are not shown to you when you use the PC. When you go into Windows Explorer you see normal partitions or disk spaces. But, the recovery partitions are used by Windows is for reset or restore of Operating system. You can delete this partition, but in case of emergency then you have no backup to restore.

System Restore in Windows 10-

If you face any performance problems, you look for restore points. You need to create a restore point so that during a need your PC can restore to this point. For that:

  • Go to Start and go to Settings
  • At the top, there is a search bar. Search there “create a restore point”
  • Now, click on the result. Select the options there i.e. in which drive you to want to create a partition. Generally, it’s the main drive where Windows is installed.
  • Now go to configure and click on Turn on System Protection.
  • Now specify how much disk space you need for System Protection.
  • Now, just click on create and provide this space with a name.
Advanced Startup Option-

If you want to go back to some restore point in Windows and you are not able to boot into Windows, then you need a restore point. The answer is in Advanced Startup. To go into Advanced Startup you need to into Settings, then recovery.

Generally, it’s the F11 function that will help you in recovery mode and provide you with system restore if you are not able to boot into Windows. Now, click on the option of Repair your Computer.

Go into Troubleshoot, then Advanced options, then System Restore and now select the restore point and process that restore point.

Refreshing Windows 10-

Maybe, the system restore does not solve any problems. In that case, you need to fully refresh Windows and its settings. Remember, the first time you used this PC, it will be like that after a system refresh. Don’t worry, you will not lose your date. Windows provide you with the option of a full refresh with the while keeping your data.

  • Click on Start and Settings and Update and security. Now click on Recovery.
  • Now select the option of Reset this PC.
  • Now click on Get Started and select the option of Keep my files
  • After checking all click on Reset.
