Chrome Won’t Open on Windows 10 PC

Are you troubled because your Google Chrome browser is not opening on Windows 10 computer? If yes, then here we are available with multiple solutions that can help you fix your problem.

1) Go to Task Manager and Kill Chrome

There is a chance that Chrome is running in the background but the browser window is not appearing before you on the screen. In such a case you will have to force close Chrome and then relaunch it.

Step 1: Go to the Taskbar and then right-click on it and then select Taskbar. In case the Taskbar does not respond, then press the keys Alt, Ctrl, and Del and then choose the task manager.

Step 2: Go to the selection of processes and search for "chrome.exe" or "Google Chrome".

Step 3: Right-click and then click on End Process

Step 4: After that, try to launch the program again.

2) Open Chrome and Delete User Profile

Launch Run Prompt and Then Enter

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data

After entering the above information, press enter. Then, start searching for the folder name "Default folder".

Copy this default folder and create a backup. Then, Delete the folder. Open Chrome once again and then navigate to Settings, Advanced and then Reset Confirm

You will also be required to sign in one more time using your Google account.

3) See If Antivirus is Blocking Chrome

There is a chance that Google Chrome has been blocked by an antivirus program. In order to make Chrome work, you need to turn off that software.

You may even have to uninstall it from your system completely. After that, try to launch Chrome.

4) Launch Google Chrome in Safe Mode

Another thing that you can try to make Chrome work is to launch it n safe mode. When you launch Chrome in safe mode, all the extensions get disabled.

Safe mode will help you identify whether any extensions were causing any issues or not. When it gets launched, then you need to find the particular extension that is causing the problem and then uninstall the same.

5) Reset Chrome

You can reset the Chrome browser and install it once again. Please ensure that you remove the user profile and all the other files which are present on C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome.

After that, run the Cleaner and then install it again.

6) Run the Cleanup Tool of Chrome

By running the cleanup tool, you will be able to remove the malware which is present within the browser.

It removes unwanted startup pages, pop-ups, malware, and unwanted pages. Also, it removes items that lead to the crashing of websites because of the overloading of pages.
