Here we are going to discuss various methods that can help you fix the no sound issue after Windows 10 update.

1) Restart PC

We do know that you restarted your PC just now but that was a part of the installation process. You need to reboot your computer system again in order to resolve some issues that you may face. This is one of the simplest solutions and comes in handy in various situations.

2) Update your Audio Driver

Sometimes the installed sound driver becomes incompatible with your latest Windows update and this further leads to audio issues on your system. To resolve this issue, take a look at the steps below.

Step 1: Go to the Start menu and then click on the Device Manager. Alternatively, you can press the Windows and X key simultaneously to get quick access to the menu. Choose the option of Device Manager from there.

Step 2: Now in the Device Manager, you are required to expand the arrow given next to "Sound, game controllers, and videos".

Step 3: In the next step, right-click on the audio driver and then click on update driver. Carry out the instructions appearing on the screen for updating the driver. Once you are done with the update, restart your computer. This will restore audio on your computer system.

3) Uninstall the Sound Driver

In case updating the sound driver doesn't fix the sound issue after the Windows 10 update, then you must try uninstalling the sound driver. To do so, you will have to perform all the steps that you performed in the previous method. Here, the only different thing is that you will have to choose the option of Uninstall device and not the Update Driver option.

In case you are using more than one speaker, then you are required to choose one of them as your default speaker. Sometimes when you update Windows, some changes are made in the settings leading to the no sound problem. To resolve this issue, you need to perform the steps given below.
