Manage Your Notifications in Windows 10:

Windows 10 notifications are useful as they notify us about different items like app updates, new emails, etc. However, one gets interrupted when he or she receives these pop-ups after every few seconds while working. If you are also bothered by Windows 10 notifications, then worry not as you can easily manage these notifications.

You can choose to view notifications in the lock screen as well. You can either choose to view notifications for all apps or a selected few apps. Moreover, you can turn off notifications for a fixed duration in a day by using Focus Assist. If you want to learn how to manage Windows 10 notifications, then read below.

How to Manage Notifications in Windows 10?

First of all, launch Settings and then select System. After that, click on Notifications and Actions. If you wish to turn off all the notifications, then go to the section of Notifications and disable every switch.

If you wish to keep selected notifications turned on, then you need to first enable "Get Notifications from apps and other senders". After that, you can enable other switches one by one.

  • If you enable the first option, then you will be able to view all the notifications on the lock screen before logging into Windows.
  • If you enable the second option, then you will be able to receive notifications and reminders of incoming VOIP calls.
  • If you wish to get notified about the suggested features after the Windows update, then enable the third option.
  • To get Windows tips and tricks, enable the fourth option.

This option is disabled by default. In order to enable this option, select one of the options in the first section.

If you select priority only, then select the option of Customized your priority list. After that, you are required to prioritize notifications from certain apps and people.

Now, go back to the previous screen and then select the time period when you don't want to get bothered by the notifications. Select the first rule under Automatic rules and set the start and end times. Enable the second rule to turn off notifications when you are duplicating the display.

If you don't want to get disturbed by notifications while playing a game, then select the third rule. You can also get a summary of notifications that you didn't get when Focus Assist was turned on by checking the box of "show me a summary of what I missed".
