Low-power devices that are built to stay on and still linked to the internet are Roku streaming players. On or off, there is no "power button" to press. This simple design removes uncertainty by providing immediate access to your player whenever you turn on your TV or change sources (e.g., cable box, Blu-ray player, gaming console).
It also enables your Roku player to automatically download new OS software and channel updates without interrupting your player use. Your streaming player only connects to the internet while streaming or running an automatic software update. Your Roku streaming player uses no bandwidth while it is not in service.
