The VLC media player is considered to be one of the most preferred apps for viewing lesson videos and audio files. It shares compatibility with most of the video or audio formats. If you want to get a VLC media player on your Roku device, then here are the steps that you must follow.
First, download the VLC media player on your Windows, click on the "notification" button, press the "expand" button with the help of the Roku remote and choose the "allow" option on the television. Now, Roku will be able to check what's on your computer, and once you turn on your TV, the VLC player app content will be shown on it.
Step 1. Download the VLC media player on your Android device.
Step 2. Almost any Android device will mirror Roku, but the mirror function's name varies depending on the Android device you're using. Swiping down from the top of the screen to reveal the quick-access icons would usually reveal it (or open Settings and select "Connection and sharing").
Step 3. Cast, Screen Cast, Smart View, Fast Link, HTC Connect, and Smart Share are some of this feature's names. Tap your phone's casting feature to trigger it.
Step 4. Make sure the casting is turned on. Look for your Roku in the list of available devices and press it. You will need to confirm your decision to do so.
Step 5. Use the Roku remote to pick "Allow" on the TV.
Step 6. The screen of your Android phone should now be reflected on Roku. Open the VLC Player app on your Tv to watch the mirrored videos.
The VLC media player is the best program for seamlessly playing all forms of video and audio formats. You can cast VLC on Roku device and enjoy great entertainment without having to purchase a Chromecast by using the methods mentioned above.
VLC (VideoLAN Client) is a well-known open-source media player that runs on various platforms, including Windows and Android devices. Unfortunately, since Roku is not a supported device by VLC, there is no way to install or use the VLC player on a Roku TV or media player
