Step 4: Now, open the folder and then right-click on it. After that, click on Restore Previous version. Now, the Windows Live mail properties window will open up. 

Step 5: Go to the tab of previous versions and then select the Restore button. 

Step 6: Now, Windows will scan the system and then initiate the recovery process.

Step 7: The recovery process is going to take some time to search and restore the lost emails from the Windows Live Mail account. 

Step 8: Leave the computer idle when the recovery process is going on.

Step 3: After that, go to Compact View. All the Windows Live Mail folders will collapse and then a green sign in the shape of a plus will be displayed on the screen. 

Step 4: Then, select the green plus icon. Now, open a new window, and then you will see all the Windows Live Mail folders. 

Step 5: Check the folder that you wish to restore and then select OK. 

Step 6: Once you are done importing the folders, click on View. 

Step 7: After that, choose the Compact View option again. 

Step 8: Then, all the recovered email folders will be displayed before you. 

Step 9: Check your email account to see if the emails are restored or not. 

3) Import Feature

You can also use the Import feature to recover lost emails from the Windows Live Mail account.

Below are the steps that you need to follow to recover deleted emails from your Windows Live Mail account. 

Step 1: First of all, launch Run.

Step 2: Type %appdata%  in the blank area and then select Ok. Now, the local data folder will open up. 

Step 3: After that, you need to go to the location. 

• AppDataLocalMicrosoftWindows Live Mail.
• AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindows Live Mail

Step 4: You will find your LiveMail account folder in one of the above-mentioned directories. 

Step 5: Copy everything and form a new folder n your desktop. Change the name of the folder to Back-Up Live Mail. 

Step 6: Launch Windows Live Mail. 

Step 7: After that, select File and then click on Import Messages. 

Step 8: Choose the option Windows Live Mail and then select Next. 

Step 9: Select browse and then go to the folder where you stored the backup. 

Step 10: Open your backup file and then select Next. 

Step 11: Select Next once again. Now, Windows Live Mail will display a success message. 

Step 12: After that, select Finish and check if the deleted email is recovered or not.
