Is there anyone who knows about how to change or reset Yahoo Mail password on desktop and mobile. I am facing some issues while login. Help me.
Yahoo Mail is a popular email service. Millions of people use the service every day, however sites with a large number of visitors attract hackers.
Changing your password on a regular basis is a great way to stay one step ahead of hackers and keep your data secure. We'll lead you through the steps to Change or Reset your Yahoo Mail Password in this comprehensive guide.
Step 1: To use Yahoo Mail, go to Yahoo Mail and tap the Yahoo Mail app icon.
Step 2: Now, tap on the three-dot menu or the search bar in the top-left corner of the screen.
Step 3: From the drop-down option, choose Manage Accounts.
Step 4: In the signed-in account list that shows on your screen, look for your account name.
Step 5: Now, click Account info, which is a link directly below the account's name.
Step 6: Then, from the drop-down option, choose Security Settings.
Step 7: Now type in your password.
Step 8: After that, select Change Password from the drop-down menu.
Step 9: Then select 'I'd rather change my password.'
Step 10: Create a new password in the 'New Password' text field, then retype it in the password field.
Step 11: To update your Yahoo mail password, tap Continue.
To get started, go to Yahoo Mail's sign-in page and sign in with your existing credentials. After you've logged in, go to the far right-hand corner of the page and select the button that displays your name and profile picture. A custom profile photo has been added, and it will appear on the screen. Otherwise, a primarily white and grey user icon will be used.
From the drop-down menu that appears, select 'Account info.' This will take you to a new page with your account information and preferences. You'll see a menu with five options in the right-hand column: 'Personal info,' 'Account security,' 'Recent activity,' 'Preferences,' and 'Help.'
Select 'Account security' from the drop-down menu. Then, on the left-hand side of the screen, select the Change password link in the 'How to sign in' section. You'll be redirected to the login page after that.
On the first line, type your new password, confirm it on the line below, and click 'Continue.' If your passwords are the same, you'll see the message below on your screen: ‘Success!
Your password has been updated. To finish the process, click 'Continue.'
Finally, you'll be prompted to double-check your account recovery information. If you see any discrepancies, make the necessary adjustments now to avoid being locked out of your account later.
You can reset your Yahoo Mail password from the sign-in page if you can't remember your existing one. To get started, go to the sign-in page, as usual, type in your username or email address, and then click 'Next.'
After that, you'll be asked to enter your current password. Ignore the prompt and choose 'Forgotten password?' instead. You'll then be asked to verify that the phone number associated with your Yahoo Mail account is correct. If so, from the drop-down menu, choose 'Yes, email me as code.'
If the mobile number linked with your account is no longer active or incorrect, go to the bottom of the page and click the 'Try another way to sign in' option. You can then use an alternative authentication method, such as a different email address, to authenticate your identity.
When you receive a code through SMS, enter it and select 'Verify,' assuming the initial phone number is correct. After that, select a checkbox in the re-captcha box and click 'Continue.'
You'll be asked to create a new password and then confirm it, as described above. Click 'Continue' after that. If both passwords are correct, a message will appear that says "Success!" Your password has been updated" will appear. Finally, press the 'Continue' button.
The account recovery information update message from Yahoo Mail will appear on the screen before you are returned to your email account. If you need to update your information, now is the time to do so.
