How to Create a Local Account on Windows 10?

Hello Everyone, Please let me know how to create a local account on windows 10? I tried many times but failed. So Can anyone have any idea? Help me.

Create a Local Account on Windows 10

If you want to create a local account for yourself other than your Microsoft account, then here's your step by step guide to Create  a Local Account on Windows 10 and also to convert your Microsoft account into a local account. One thing that you should know is that, your local account doesn't backs up your personal data on your pc. So for that you'd have to use your Microsoft account.

A. Create a local windows 10 account

Follow the below steps in order to Create a local windows 10 account.

1. Go to the start menu > hit the user icon > and then click on the "change account settings" Option.
2. Click on the Family & other users in the left pane, under the Settings dialog box.
3. Next, under other users on the right, click on Add someone else to this PC.
4. Remember to not enter an email or phone number on the “How will this person sign in” screen. Rather, click on the “I
don’t have this person’s sign-in information” link.
5. Now, click the Add a user without a Microsoft account link at the bottom, under the Microsoft account dialog box.
6. Enter the name of the user in the "who’s going to use this PC" and type the password twice under Make it secure.
7. Select three security questions and enter answers for them under In case you forget your password.
8. Lastly, click Next to create a new local Microsoft account.

B. Switch to the new local user account

However, you have an option to switch to your new local account without even signing out of your current account. For that, Go to the Start menu > hit the user icon > and lastly, click on the new local user name.

C. Log in to the new local user account

1.To sign into the new local account, 
2.On the  the lower-left corner of the screen, click on the user name along with entering the password.
3.If you are logging into your new local account the first time then remember that it may take few seconds for windows to set up.

D. Change the account type for a local user

At first your account type is Standard user account by default, which is better for security. And if you want the account for yourself or for someone you trust, You will be required to change it to an Administrator account. To do so, follow the below steps.

1. Go the Start menu and then click on PC Settings.
2. On the Settings screen,  click on accounts and then on Family & other users in the left pane.
3. Click on the Standard account name and click Change account type.
4. Following that, hit the Administrator from the Account type option from the drop-down list and click OK.

E. Remove a local user account

1. Go to the Start menu > then click on the PC Settings.
2. On the Settings screen,  click on accounts and then on Family & other users in the left pane.
3. Click on the Standard account name and click Change account type.

Make sure to back up all your data on your account before you Remove a local user account or else you will lose all your data. To delete the account, click on Delete account > data on the Delete account and data dialog box.

F. Convert a Microsoft account to a local    user account

As it may happen that when you first log into your windows account, there are chances that you log into your Microsoft account. To Convert a Microsoft account to a local user account, here's your guide. 

1. Go to Start menu and click PC Settings.
2. Now on the settings dialog box, click on the accounts.
3. Click Your info on the left pane. Following that, click Sign in with a local account instead link on the right.
4. In the Current password box, enter your password for the Microsoft account and click Next.
5. Next, type a User name for the local account and enter a Password followed by Re-entering it. You will be prompted to add
a Password hint that will help you to remember your password. Click Next.
6. Now click on sign out and finish option.
7. Lastly, in the lower-left corner of the login screen, select your new local user account name and enter your new password.
