How to Disable the AutoRun Feature in Windows 10?

Please let me know that how to disable the AutoRun feature in Windows 10. I am facing some issues while trying to do this. Help me.

Disable the AutoRun Feature in Windows 10:

Autorun can be quite annoying. We don't want movies or music files to play the moment we insert the CD in the disc. In case the autorun feature is disturbing you as well, then you must learn how to turn off AutoRun feature in Windows 10.

1) Use the Registry Editor

If you wish to turn off Autorun CD or stop Autorun USB in Windows 10, then read ahead. In order to turn off the AutoRun feature in the Windows 10 registry editor,

Below are the steps that you need to follow. 

Step 1: Go to the Search area and enter Regedit. After that, launch Registry Editor. 

Step 2: After that, go to the 

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Step 3: Then, navigate to the right pane of the window and then create a new DWORD value "NoDriveTypeAutorun" and then set the value you like. 

2) Use a Group Policy

Another method that can help you turn off autorun is by using Group Policy Editor.  

Below are the steps that you need to follow to open the group policy editor. 

Step 1: First of all, launch the Start Menu, then enter gpedit.msc. Now, launch Group Policy by selecting the first result. 

Step 2: Navigate to computer configuration. After that, select the option of Administrative templates. Then, select Windows Components. 

Step 3: After that, you need to choose Autoplay Policies. Then, you need to go to the Details pane. 

Step 4: Now, turn off Autoplay by double-clicking on it. 

3) Use the Settings Menu of Windows 10

Step 1: Press the Windows key. 

Step 2: After that, type Autoplay and then choose AutoPlay Settings

Step 3: Turn off the slider under the option of "Use AutoPlay for all media and devices". 

Step 4: One Memory Card and Removable drive select the option of "Do nothing"

By performing any of the three methods mentioned above, you can easily turn off the AutoRun feature.
