Is there anyone who knows about how to factory reset a Windows 11 PC. I am facing some issues while trying to reset it. Help me.
Factory Resetting a Windows 11 PC is the ultimate remedy to repair software or malware if none of the preliminary tricks work. This reset activity can be given effect in two different ways that are discussed in detail by virtue of this quick guide.
Step 1 - Click on the “Start” button followed by choosing the “Settings” option.
Step 2 - Now click on the “System” option shown on the menu leftwards followed by clicking the “Recovery” option.
Step 3 - Under the “Recovery Options” locate the “Reset this PC” button. Thereafter, press the “Reset PC” button.
Step 4 - As soon as the process of Factory Reset a Windows 11 PC initiates you will be provided with the following two options to choose from.
1 - Keep my Files Option - In this very option your personal files will be retained which you can access later.
2 - Remove Everything Option - By choosing this option you can remove all your files when the reset process gets underway.
Step 5 - After choosing one of the two options select either the “Cloud download” option or “Local reinstall” button.
Step 6 - Next, on the Additional Settings page you will see a summary of reinstallation settings wherein you can opt to press the “Change Settings” button to bring about customization in the reset activity.
Step 7 - Going forward, you have two more options given on the “Choose Settings” page. These options are discussed below.
1 - If you want to restore and retain the apps that came with your PC then enable the radio button that shows “Restore preinstalled apps”.
2 - You can alternatively press the “Download Windows” button if you are willing to effectuate a clean install of Windows.
Step 8 - Continuing with this Factory Reset a Windows 11 PC activity press the “Confirm” button to return to the “Additional Settings” screen.
Step 9 - Finally press the “Next” button followed by tapping the “Reset” option which will initiate the process to Factory Reset a Windows 11 PC. Please note that this process may take a maximum of 50 minutes during which you have to ensure that your PC remains on.
Step 1 - Simply press the “Windows + L” buttons jointly to open the Sign-In screen.
Step 2 - Now locate and press the “Restart” option after tapping the “Power” button from the bottom-right corner of the screen along with pressing the “Shift” key.
Step 3 - Please note that the “WinRE” screen reflects three options from which you have to select the “Reset this PC given under the “Troubleshoot” option. This will allow reviewing and choosing from the same options that we discussed in the earlier part of this quick guide.
