Fix WiFi Connection Issues in Windows 10:

If you are not able to stream music, browse the internet, and can't get an email, then that means you are not connected to the network. To fix this issue, below are the things that you can try.

Things to try

Below are the things that you need to try in order to fix the connection problem.

Step 1: Firstly, you need to ensure that your Wi-Fi is turned on. After that, choose the "No network connection" icon by going to the right side of your taskbar. Also, ensure that your Wi-Fi is turned on. Moreover, you need to check if the Airplane mode is turned off.

Step 2: After that, check if the Wi-Fi network you trust and recognize is displaying in the list of networks. In case it does, then select your wireless network and then try to connect to it. In case it says connected below the name of your network, then select Disconnect. Now, wait for a while and then choose the option of Connect again.

Step 3: After that, try to connect to a network on a different frequency band. A lot of routers broadcast at two network frequency bands i.e., 5 GHz and 2.5 GHz. These two networks will appear as two different wireless networks in the list of available wireless networks. If your list of available networks is displaying both 2.5 GHz as well as 5 GHz, then you must try to connect to the other network.

Step 4: Also, you need to ensure that your physical Wi-Fi switch is powered on.

Step 5: Now, run the network troubleshooter. This will help you diagnose and resolve common connection issues.

How to Run a Network Troubleshooter?

Below are the steps that you need to follow in order to run a network troubleshooter.

Step 1: Go to the Start button and then go to Settings. After that, go to the Network & Internet option and then select Status.

Step 2: After that, change the settings of your network and then choose Network troubleshooter.

Step 3: Carry out the steps in the troubleshooter and check if it resolves your problem.

Try to Resolve Your Wi-Fi Connection Problem by Restarting Your Wireless Router and Modem

When you restart your router, the device that is connected to the wireless network will get disconnected temporarily. The steps to restart your modem and router can vary.

Below, we have stated some general steps to restart your modem and router.

Step 1: Disconnect the power wire of your router from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: Disconnect the power wire for the modem from the electrical outlet. A lot of modems have a backup battery. If you disconnect the modem and the lights are still on, then disconnect the battery from your modem.

Step 3: After that, you need to wait for at least 30 seconds. In case you removed the battery from the modem, then you must place it back.

Step 4: After that, reconnect your modem to the electrical outlet. After that, you will see lights blinking on your modem. Then, you must wait for the lights to stop blinking.

Step 5: In the end, connect your router back to the power source. Wait for some time and allow your modem and router to power on completely. When both the devices are fully powered on, then you must try to connect again on your computer.
