Step 3: Select Full Scan from the drop-down menu, then click Scan Now.
Step 4: Depending on the extent of your data and the severity of the virus, the process may take some time. I would run a couple of additional scans because a single scan might not be enough to remove the malware.
Step 5: When threats are discovered, you can choose to quarantine the virus right away or review it for more information.
Some viruses can alter files in such a way that they become illegible. To restore your files, you may need to take additional actions. If your files are empty or appear to be shortcuts, they are most likely hidden.
