But some tasks can only be performed with the help of a command prompt running with the administrator right as if you try it with any other method other than admin right you will get “access is denied” or “you may not have permission to perform this operation” message.

Option One- Run Command Prompt as Admin by Using the Windows Start Menu

Option Six- Using Command Prompt as Administrator from File Explorer

Step 2- Type %windir%\System32\ in the run command box and then press enter key to open the system32 folder.

Step 3- Locate the file named cmd.exe and right-click on it.

Step 4- Click on the run as administrator option

Step 5- Enter the admin account password or click on the yes button when asked to do so.
