Opening the command prompt as a regular user is all you need and for you to run commands that require administrative privileges you sometimes need to open the command prompt as an administrator. Windows provide a lot of different ways to open the command prompt which also includes opening the command prompt with admin privileges. 

As most of the commands can be executed without the elevated command prompt so the majority of the windows user will never need to open the command prompt as an administrator or elevated command prompt. But some tasks can only be performed with the help of a command prompt running with the administrator right as if you try it with any other method other than admin right you will get “access is denied” or “you may not have permission to perform this operation” message.

Option One- Run Command Prompt as Admin by Using the Windows Start Menu
