Hello Everyone, Please let me know How to stop Windows 10 from performing automatic restarts after installing updates? I don't know how to stop it. I tried many times but unable to stop it. So can anyone have any idea?
On Windows 10, users usually undergo the account creation process during the first setup of a new device or installation. However, there are a lot more additional configuration settings that you can use to make your account more secure and to get the experience.
In this blog, we will discuss the method that will help you to stop Windows 10 from performing automatic restarts.
On Windows 10, the "Your info" page is the place to view a summary of the account information. Also, it's the page where you can connect the device to a Microsoft account or change the profile picture.
To view the account details on Windows 10, use these steps:
1.Open Settings.
2.Click on Accounts.
3.Click on Your info.
4.Verify your account details, similar to the account type (Administrator or Standard) or if you're using a local account or a Microsoft account.
Quick note: If the page reads "Local account" under your username, then you're using an account that isn't connected to a Microsoft account. If you see your email address, then you are using a Microsoft account.
5.Click the Manage my Microsoft account option to adjust billing details, family and security settings, and more.
Once you complete the steps, you'll have a better understanding of your account information on Windows 10.
To switch from a local account to a Microsoft account (or vice versa), use these steps:
1.Open Settings.
2.Click on Accounts.
3.Click on Your info.
4.If you're using a local account, then you can click the Sign in with a Microsoft account instead option to link the account with a Microsoft account.
5.Continue with the on-screen directions.
Note:- Mostly, while setting up a new account, additional verification may be needed. If this is the case, you'll have to click the Verify button to launch the verification process, and only after entering the code, you'll be able to have full access to the account.
6.If you're using a Microsoft account, then you can click Sign in with a local account instead option to switch to a local account.
7.Continue with the on-screen directions.
After you complete the steps, the account will switch to a Microsoft or local account, depending on your selection. Hence you have successfully stopped Windows 10 from performing automatic restarts.
To change the account picture on Windows 10, use these steps:
1.Open Settings.
2.Click on Accounts.
3.Click on Your info.
4.Under the "Create your picture" section, click the Browse for one button. (Or you can also use the Camera option.)
5.Select a new image for the account.
6.Click the Choose Picture button.
Once you complete the steps, the account pictures will appear on the Sign-in screen and across Windows 10.
Methodology to Stop Windows 10 From Performing Automatic Restarts
Instead of having to re-type the same account information every time you want to set up an app, you can use the "Email & app accounts" page to add multiple account information in advance.
To register additional email and app accounts, use these steps:
1.Open Settings.
2.Click on Accounts.
3.Click on Email & accounts.
4.Under the Accounts used by email, calendar, and contacts section, click the Add an account button.
5.Select the service provider you want to add.
6.Continue with the on-screen directions.
After you complete the steps, the account information will be available when you need to connect with Microsoft Store apps.
On Windows 10, the "Sign-in options" page allows you to manage the different methods available for authentication to your account. Using these settings, you can change your current password, set up
Windows Hello Face, PIN, Security Key, or Picture Password, and you can even turn on Dynamic lock to lock the device as you step away.
To change the account password on Windows 10, use these steps:
1.Open Settings.
2.Click on Accounts.
3.Click on Sign-in options.
4.Under the option of- Manage how you sign in to your device section, select the Password option.
5.Click the Change button.
6.Confirm your Windows Hello pin (if applicable).
7.Confirm the current password.
8.Confirm the new password. (You can't use a previous password.)
9.Click the Next button.
10.Continue with the on-screen directions (if applicable).
After you complete the steps, the password will update on your Windows 10 installation, as well as across devices and services if you use a Microsoft account.
