Fix Network Change Was Detected Error in Google Chrome:

If your Google Chrome browser says that the network has been changed, then the browser will show you a  "Network change was detected" message. Generally, the error message disappears on its own.

Nevertheless, if it does not happen, then there are a few solutions that you can try out to resolve the issue. There are various ways to fix the network error in Chrome so that your browser goes back to its normal state. So, let's try these methods one by one. 

1) Refresh the Web Page

If you see the "Network change was detected" error on the screen, then you must first try to refresh the current web page. This will allow Chrome to reestablish a connection with the website that resolves the problem.

You can easily load the present web page in Chrome by choosing the refresh icon given in the address bar. After that, your web page will open up. 

2) Reopen Google Chrome 

If your website is not loading even after refreshing the page, then you must close and then reopen the browser. Now, Chrome will get a fresh chance to establish every connection. This can help you fix your problem.

After that, close your Chrome browser by clicking on the close icon given at the upper-right corner. When it is closed, reopen the browser by launching the Start menu and then search for Chrome. After that, choose Google Chrome from the search results.

Type the web address in the location bar of your Chrome browser. Press the Enter key and then the browser will open without any issue. You must save all your unsaved work before you go ahead and restart your PC. 

Step 1: Launch the Start menu and then click on the Power option. 

Step 2: After that, go to the menu and then select Restart. 

Step 3: Once your computer restarts, you need to check whether the website is loading or not. 

3) Restart Your Modem 

It is always advisable to restart your router when you are going through network problems. You may experience minor glitches while using your router. You can easily resolve these glitches by performing a simple restart.

In order to restart your router, you must press the power button. If you don't see a power button on your router, then you must disconnect your router from the power source and then turn on the power again after a while.

You can also restart your router by opening the Settings page of your router. Go to the Maintenance tab and select the option of Restart the router. 

4) Update Your Chrome Browser

You must keep Chrome and other apps updated on your system. This will allow you to fix new features and bugs. In case you are using an earlier version of Chrome, then that can be the reason why the "Network change was detected" error is appearing.

You must update the browser on your computer and then you won't see this error. 

Step 1: Launch your Chrome browser and then go to the upper-right corner and then select the three dots. After that, select Settings. 

Step 2: Select About Chrome by going to the sidebar on the left. 

Step 3: Now, check for new updates and then install them. 

Step 4: Close the Chrome browser and then reopen it. This will resolve your error. 

5) Flush DNS Cache

Your PC stores the DNS cache, which helps browsers to reach a website easily. These files can cause serious problems and may even force Chrome and other browsers to display many errors. Fortunately, there is a way to delete the cache without impacting the browser history.

The system is going to build the cache again as your browse websites. 

Step 1: Go to the Start menu and then select the command prompt and then select tools by going to the search results. 

Step 2: Enter a command ipconfig/flush DNS in the command prompt and then press the Enter key. 

Step 3: Close Command Prompt ad then open the Chrome browser and check if your website is loading or not. 

6) Change the DNS Server of Your Connection

DNS plays a significant role in a browser. It helps you find a website. In case your browser is experiencing an outage, then the browser will show you a "Network change was detected" error.

In such a case, you must change to an alternate DNS and check what difference it makes.  It is advisable to use the free public DNS of Google. 

Step 1: Open settings on your computer system and then choose Network & Internet and then select Change adapter options. 

Step 2: Go to your network adapter and then right-click on it and then select properties by going to the menu. 

Step 3: Choose internet protocol version 4 from the list and select Properties. 

Step 4: Activate the option of "Use the following DNS server addresses"

Step 5: Choose the field of the preferred DNS server and then enter 8.8.8.8. After that, enter  8.8.4.4 in the section of the alternate DNS server. 

Step 6: Save the settings by clicking on OK. 

Step 7: Now, launch Chrome and access the sites.
