Roku Streaming Stick plus model 3810 supports 720p HD, 1080p Full HD, 4K Ultra HD (UHD), and HDR (High Dynamic Range) and gets shipped with an intensified "point-anywhere" remote, power adaptor, USB power cable with the advanced wireless receiver, USB power extender cable, 2 batteries, and a quick start guide. This article talks about how to set up a Roku streaming stick plus on your TV.

STEP 1: Get Connected to Roku streaming stick plus

  • First, find the available HDMI Slot on your TV. If you would like to get a 4k streaming on your local player then make sure the input supports an HDCP 2.2.

  • If the Roku streaming stick plus is unable to connect to your TV due to space restrictions then Roku offers a free HDMI extender cable at my.roku.com/hdmi.

  • Now on your TV remote look for the label "input" or "source".

STEP 2: Power it Up

  • Now you have to power up Roku streaming plus and its remote.

  • Connect the small end of the USB power cable to the advanced wireless receiver into the Roku streaming plus.

  • And the other end either of the USB port on your TV or use the included power extendable able to make the connection.

  • Then the power adaptor to put directly into the wall socket.

  • After waiting for a few minutes, the Roku logo will start filling your TV screen.

NOTE: If it doesn't show up then check you have correctly tuned into the right input on your TV.

* Next, insert the batteries into the Roku streaming plus remote and make sure it is inserted in the right position. As soon as the batteries go in the green and yellowish light starts flashing signaling it to pair.

  • Wait for the remote to pair automatically.

NOTE: If it doesn't then press and hold the pairing button present on the back of the remote.

  • Once successful, select your language.

STEP 3: Connect to Your Network

  • Connect your local player to network and check whether you can activate your local account and start streaming your favorite movies and TV shows over the internet.

  • If you don't see your network listed select "scan again" to see all networks.

NOTE: You're looking for the same network that you connect your computer or mobile.

  • Now, select your wireless network and enter your password.

NOTE: While making the connect it should prompt all green checkmarks. If it encounters red then further troubleshooting steps need to be performed which is available on go.roku.com/connectivity.

  • It might ask you to link it to your existing Roku account or you may have to create one.

  • Under your Roku account, you have to get to the payment section and make the payment. Once the payment is done you can start adding the channels and your favorite TV shows and click on continue.
