Unable to Access Windows 10 in Safe Mode using F8:

In window 7, you are authorized to open window in safe mode using F8, but in windows 10, it does not work. You can use F8 option in windows 10 by using boot configuration data edit command . BCD tool is to control how the operating system is started. You can use it to enable F8 boot menu easily by just following steps

• You need to press window logo with R key to invoke run command

• Type cmd in the search box and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter to start in administrator mode

• Paste the following command on the command prompt and press enter key. Command is bcdedit/set{default}bootmenupolicy legacy

• Reboot your PC and when it start press F8 button to start your windows 10 in safe mode

Various ways to Start Windows 10 in Safe Mode:

There are two version are there which are safe mode and safe mode with networking. Safe mode with networking adds the network drivers and services which are required to access internet and other computer on networks.

• PC in safe mode in window 10 using setting option:

Before entering in safe mode, first you need to enter window recovery environment. To do this, you need to turn off your device repeatidly.

• Hold down power button for atleast 10 seconds to turn off your device

• Then press the power button to turn on your device

• Once you see the first sign like manufacturer logo screen, then you need to hold power button again for 10 seconds to turn off your device

• Again press power button to turn on the device

• When window starts, press the power button to turn off the device

• Press power button for seconds to turn on your device

• Now you need to allow your device to fully restart. Now you will enter in winRE and follow steps to take your device in safe mode

• On choose option screen, choose troubleshoot->advance option->startup setting->Restart

• The your device will restart and you will see so many options, you have to choose safe mode with networking or simply press F5 button to enter in safe mode

• PC in safe mode in window 10 using sign-in screen option:

When you are unable to open setting in safe mode option, you need to restart your device by using window sign-in screen

• On the window sign in screen, you need to press and hold shift key while you select power button to restart option

• After restarting your PC choose option screen, select troubleshoot->advance option-> select startup setting->Restart . After restarting the PC, you will see so many option in the list. You need to select 4 option or press F4 to start your PC in safe mode with networking

• PC in safe mode in window 10 from a black or blank screen:

Before entering in safe mode, firstly you need to enter in window recovery environment. To do so, you need to turn off your device repeatedly.

• Hold and press power button for ten seconds to turn off your device

• Press power button again to turn on your device

• On the first sign when the manufacturer logo appears, on the same time you need to press power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device

• Press power button again to turn on your device

• When window starts, press the power button for approximate ten seconds to turn off your device

• Press the power button continuously for ten seconds to turn on your device

• Now you need to allow your device to fully restart and you will then enter winRE

Now you are in winRE,  you need to follow below steps to take your device in safe mode

• Here you need to choose an option screen where you need to select troubleshoot option first then advance option then go into startup setting then choose restart option

• After restarting device, select option 5 or click F5 for safe mode with networking

Exit from Safe Mode:

• Press window logo key+R

• Type msconfig in search box then ok

• Select the boot tab option

• In boot option, uncheck safe mode check box
