Fix Outlook not Sending Emails Issue:

Operating from your office or working from home, every professional frequently sends or receives files, documents to effectively carry out the office operations. But the process of sending emails back and forth may turn pretty annoying if your Outlook is unable to send emails due to a wide range of unaddressed issues ranging from authentications not being on to a disabled TCP/IP protocol.

I also encountered similar problems when my Outlook application could not send emails that eventually prompted me to fix this issue by exercising a few unique troubleshooting tips. So here is detailed out a complete set of procedures to fix the issue of Outlook not sending emails.

Creating a new Outlook Profile

The best way to do away with the issue of Outlook not sending emails is to create a new E-Mail Profile. Just follow the simple steps and create a new profile that may address the issue of Outlook not sending emails.

Step 9 - After you have carried out all the above-discussed steps sequentially, go to Mail Windows and select the profile you have just created.

Step 10 – Click Ok and check whether you are able to send emails. If you can successfully send Emails, the problem of Outlook not sending Emails stands resolved, else follow the alternative procedures given below to fix this up.

Ensuring that TCP/IP Protocol is Enabled

If you already have a newly created Outlook profile then you may not be able to send the emails owing to a disabled TCP/IP protocol. So to enable TCP/IP protocol as the default protocol, follow the steps given hereunder.

Step 1 - Go to the search bar on your desktop screen, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter.

Step 2 - Now navigate through the screen to find Internet Connection and choose Properties.

Step 3 - Click on the Networking tab and see whether the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) is checked. If not, then check the box shown against TCP/IPv6 and close down the window after clicking OK.

If the problem of Outlook not sending emails still exists, simply follow the other troubleshooting measures from the suit of different troubleshooting tips given below.

Fixing the Authentication–Related issue with the Outlook

If you are able to receive the emails but can’t send or revert back, you can turn on the authentication switches by adhering to the following procedure.

Step1 - Hop on to the Tools menu of Outlook

Step 2 - Select Email accounts

Step 3 - Now click on view or change the existing email account

Step 4 - A wizard will get opened, click on the Next button and select the Email account followed by pressing the Change button and clicking More Settings subsequently.

Step 5 – Now go to the Outgoing server and check whether My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires any authentication.

Step 6 – Finish the wizard after clicking Ok followed by pressing on the Next button.

Checking the Attachment

If the attachments that you may be sent exceed the prescribed limit, you may not be able to send emails in such a scenario. To deal with this, just compress the file using Win Zip or WinRar and try sending the mails.

Verifying that port number is not blocked

Many a time your ISP may block port 25 which may hinder the mail sending process. So in this scenario, you may use port 587 to redirect the traffic that can eventually take the process of sending mails forward.
